(“NuRAN Wireless” or the “Company”) (CSE: NUR) (OTC: NRRWF) (FSE: 1RN), announces that it has received an initial purchase order from from Africa Mobile Networks (“AMN”). Nuran’s selection by AMN was initially announced on June 14, 2018. This purchase order is the first of many expected from AMN.
The agreement with AMN is for the supply of OC-2G units in a minimum of five (5) countries and up to 3,000 sites based on commercial and operational success. The number of countries could grow to over 13. The OC-2G’s commercial availability was announced in November of 2017 and has since undergone trials with multiple Tier One operators around the world.
At the recent Telecom Infra Project Summit (“TIP” Summit) hosted by Facebook (FB:NASDAQ) in London last week, Major Mobile Network Operators like MTN, Vodafone and Telefonica announced a major shift towards rural connectivity with important commitments. As part of this trend, AMN has completed several trials and rollouts with many Tier One mobile operators of the industry as presented during TIP.
